Learn Flamenco at a Flamenco School Like No Other

A view of Capileira, home of Flamenco School 'La Fuente'

Flamenco school 'La Fuente' offers you a unique experience: inspirational and authentic Flamenco lessons as part of a beautiful holiday in one of the most idyllic and unspoilt parts of southern Spain.

The school was founded in 2004 by Isabel Lagrilliere and Cristina Serrano Paz, who have been friends and dancing partners for more than 15 years.

A different way to learn Flamenco

Centro Flamenco La Fuente is different to other Flamenco schools in several ways. Perhaps the most striking is where we are: the peaceful village life of Las Alpujarras combines with small unique tapas bars and restaurants serving up local specialities set in the spectacular back drop of the highest mountains in Spain. And for those who like a bit of night life, and perhaps to practice a few dancing steps, there is even a small, but fun variety of late night clubs in the area.

The third and perhaps most important difference are our classes. The largest group size you will be part of is 8. This allows for extensive individual tuition by your teachers and enables you to make the most out of your studio time.

Flamenco lessons for complete beginners to experienced dancers

The lessons that we run are suitable for a broad range of people, ranging from complete beginners, intermediate dancers and those with advanced experience. Click here to find out more about the classes that we run, and which level is most suitable for you.

Learn to speak Spanish too - or walk, ride horses, paint, and more!

Alongside the classes, which take place throughout the week that you stay with us, you can choose, if you wish, to learn to speak Spanish, the 'language of Flamenco', which many find helps to deepen your Flamenco knowledge and experience.

We can also arrange a whole host of additional activities, such as horse riding, painting, walking and yoga. Click HERE for further information.

Our founders

Learn Flamenco with Isabel and Cristina of Flamenco School 'La Fuente'

Cristina Serrano Paz was originally born in Madrid, but moved to Granada many years ago. As a child she loved Flamenco, and when she met Isabel's father, Rudi 'El Guiri', he inspired her to start dancing. Cristina has studied with many prestigious dancers over the years, and is a powerful dancer and a patient teacher.

Ten years ago she formed her own dance group, 'Esquina del Agua' together with Ana Rojas, and to this day they perform regularly throughout Andalucia.

What people say

"Just wanted to let you know that when on our way home we agreed we'd had an absolutely brilliant time. Such friendly and fun teachers, a stunning location, some memorable nights out - and what's more, a feeling that our dancing can now really move up a gear - what more can I say but we'll be back!" TP, London

"... enjoyed the week enormously, not least because what we've learnt will bring so much more enjoyment to our lessons at home." NM, Holland.

"...we'll definitely pass your name around to our friends in the Flamenco classes here and will give you a great review! Thanks again..." FF, Devon.
