Cristina Serrano
Cristina Serrano Paz was born in Madrid but has lived in the province of Granada for the last 30 years.
She started dancing some 20 years ago and her art was formed as a pupil of Ana Cáli, Rosa 'La Canastera', Gadea, Takako, Lydia Pousa and many more.
She formed her own dancing group 'Esquina del Agua' 10 years ago and has since performed all over Andalucia. Currently she performs at the local Flamenco club, 'Al Catifa'. Apart from performing, Cristina has spent many years teaching the art of Flamenco dancing and is a patient and inspiring teacher running Flamenco classes at beginners and intermediate levels.
Paula Moreno
Born on June 8 1991, within a family background steeped in Flamenco
She is the daughter of the founder of the school, Cristina Serrano.
With flamenco traditions running through her veins, she began dancing at the age of 5.
She continued her training in the city of Granada, studying with the best teachers, namely Ana Cali, Chua Alba, La Monica and, most important of all her teachers, her mother Cristina Serrano.
Underpinned by impeccable technique, her youth strength and savage expression renders her performance a unique and unforgettable experience.
Her command of English and family traditions of pedagogy make her an excellent teacher.
La Chua
Chua Alba is from the Albaycin, in the heart of Granada. She has been working as a Flamenco dancer and teacher for over 20 years, and was taught by such great figures as Mariquilla, Manolete, María Cruz, Carmela Greco and Presy.
She has performed throughout Spain and northern Europe with various different dancing companies. In great demand to give Flamenco classes both in Spain and abroad, it is for us a pleasure to have her on board as our intermediate and advanced levels teacher.
